1. Introduction & Mission
Welcome to Don Bosco Workforce (DBW), a joint initiative by the Don Bosco Development Outreach Network (DBDON) and Take Two Communications Limited (TTCL). Our mission is to provide sustainable employment opportunities for graduates of Don Bosco Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions in Kenya.
These Terms of Service govern your membership and participation in the Don Bosco Workforce platform. By applying for membership, you agree to comply with these terms, which ensure the quality, professionalism, and sustainability of our services.
2. Eligibility Criteria
To qualify as a DBW member, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a graduate from a certified Don Bosco TVET institution in Kenya
- Possess relevant technical skills in supported areas (plumbing, electrical, masonry, welding, catering, etc.)
- Demonstrate good conduct and discipline with recommendation from your TVET institution
- Be unemployed, underemployed, or seeking self-employment opportunities
- Be willing to undergo additional training and mentorship programs
- Be of legal working age as per Kenyan labor laws
3. Membership Application Process
All applicants must complete the following steps:
- Submit a completed online application form
- Provide required documentation
- Attend interview or orientation sessions as required
- Undergo skills and character vetting process
4. Member Obligations
As a DBW member, you commit to:
- Maintain professionalism in all client interactions (timeliness, respect, proper attire)
- Participate in mandatory refresher trainings and workshops
- Deliver services to highest standards consistent with Don Bosco's ethos
- Respect clients' premises, property, and confidentiality
- Report monthly work activity and earnings to DBW coordinators
- Notify DBW office of any disciplinary, legal, or safety incidents
- Maintain confidentiality of operational information
5. Code of Conduct
Members shall uphold the following standards:
- Avoid dishonesty, fraud, or misrepresentation of qualifications
- Refrain from using drugs or alcohol while on duty
- Not solicit tips, gifts, or loans from clients
- Uphold Don Bosco values in speech, attitude, and service delivery
- Maintain ethical conduct in all business dealings
Note: Failure to adhere to this code may result in suspension or termination of membership.
6. Service Assignment & Remuneration
6.1 Job Assignments
Members will be assigned tasks based on:
- Skill match and qualifications
- Client needs and requirements
- Geographical availability
- Performance history and ratings
6.2 Service Fees
- Service fees are agreed upon in advance with clients
- Payments are processed through DBW platforms
- A 30% service fee is deducted to cover administrative and platform costs
- Fee structure is transparent and disclosed before assignment acceptance

DBW members enjoy the following benefits:
- Access to employment and internship opportunities
- Free or subsidized training and upskilling programs
- Business development support and tools
- Mentorship from industry experts
- Inclusion in alumni recognition events and media showcases
- Pathways to self-employment and cooperative business models
- Digital profiling and client access
8. Disciplinary Action & Termination
Membership may be suspended or terminated for:
- Gross misconduct (dishonesty, theft, violence)
- Repeated negative client feedback or poor performance
- Breach of confidentiality or code of conduct
- Unjustified absence from assignments
- Providing false documents or misrepresenting qualifications
All disciplinary cases are reviewed by a committee comprising DBDON and TTCL representatives before final decisions.
9. Membership Duration & Renewal
- Initial membership is valid for 12 months
- Renewal is annual based on performance and engagement
- Digital and physical ID cards are issued to active members
- ID cards must be surrendered upon termination or expiration
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes are resolved through:
- Internal resolution with DBW coordinator
- Escalation to joint DBDON-TTCL committee if unresolved
- Legal proceedings as last resort, prioritizing dialogue and reconciliation
11. Amendments
DBW reserves the right to revise these Terms with reasonable notice to members. Amendments are communicated via email, notice boards, or digital platforms.
